The objective of this website is to enrich its readers and propagate financial literacy to Filipinos. Beginner and novice investors will benefit from this site as well. This is built primarily to promote and reinforce financial education, enhance professional financial advisory, elevate awareness on the capital market, responsible distribution and subscription of financial products, timely sharing of actionable investment ideas and will be open to dispense financial advice when sought. These objectives are believed to be attuned with the present environment of increased awareness on the relevance of learning, planning and executing financial plans. In due time, this kind of awareness will soon spring towards maturity that is essential in the proper use of the financial resources of most Filipinos and greater participation to the financial system. Ricky So has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is an Independent Financial Adviser and currently, the Chief Knowledge Officer for Investment Planning, and Director of Wealth Management Center for Communications and Research, Inc. Prior to this, he held senior management positions in various investment and commodities firms, the last of which was as Head of Training of one of the Philippine’s top asset management company and was once a portfolio manager.
Since the late 80’s, Ricky has been exposed to the international market on commodity futures and foreign exchange and has since dabbled in the local stock market. He started learning about the US stock market in early 2000, and has been investing in it since 2008.
Ricky is very active in the financial services community, using his expertise in training financial service professionals. Accentuating this endeavor, he co-authored a book “Dare to Journey – The Path to Meaningful Wealth with the best-selling author of “Thy Will be Done” Atty. Angelo Cabrera together with Aristides Merida Jr. He was a former faculty for the RFP Philippines and lectured Portfolio Management for the Asian Institute of Management – EXCELL’s Strategic Investment Management Program. He lectures Technical Analysis, Managing Equity Portfolio, and Global Investing for various learning organizations as well. He also has more than a decade long experience in providing pre-licensure seminar – the ICRCP, to members of the Philippine Investment Funds Association (PIFA). Currently, he conducts certification course on Certified Investment Planner, Philippines (CIPP®). His FAST Exchange blog is intended to contribute to the financial literacy of Filipinos, writing topics about Finance, Advisory, Stock Market and Technical Analysis. He recently launched a new service Trade With Me, to guide and handhold would be traders in the local stock market. His premium investment service - REGIS, on the other hand, is capable of beating the PSE index 4 out of 5 times while providing income and growth potential to his clients with minimal risk.
Ricky finished his grade school and secondary education as Class Valedictorian at the Divine Word Academy of Dagupan. He earned a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Accounting at the Lyceum Northwestern University with Distinction. He pursued continuing education at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and is an investment planner, adviser, mentor and funds manager.
